Converting Code from Visual Studio 2008 to Visual Studio 2022

10/30/2023
I am finally moving from Visual Studio 2008 to Visual Studio 2022. In this post I go over how the conversion process is working out. I have tried other Visual Studio versions in the past, but after 15 years, I am going to finally give it a try to make the switch.

For those of you much younger than my 55 years, Visual Studio was, and still is, such a stable coding system. We used to call this software. Now people call it an app. I know I am not alone, many other programmers, whether hack or professional, still are trying to hold on to Visual Studio 2008. My strategy is to take a small project and see how it converts and what issues show up, then just expand this to my more complicated programs.
